So..I woke up on Saturday with a pinched nerve in my neck ! All I can say is OUCH ! So sadly enough not only will I not being carrying my little pumpkin in her sling ( which she loves ) the thought of picking her up nearly brings me to tears ! Have you ever fallen in love with a shirt or a pair of shoes even before you tried them on? That’s the exact feeling I felt when I received my very own Beana Baby ring sling a couple of weeks ago. It was my first real ring sling and I knew we would be best buds from the get go.

First I need to mention, this sling is simply gorgeous. The fabric I chose: vibrant and amazingly stunning. The stitching: perfect.

I wanted something fun and bold for the summer and I totally got what I asked for when I decided on the Michael Miller Cherry Stripes. The sling is totally sturdy; you can safely carry your newborn all the way until they are a hefty 40 lb. toddler. I carried both Nola and Piper in it and it never hurt my back, I felt completely secure and in control. I do intend to for the most part only carry Nola in it. Lets face it, Piper is a big girl…she can carry her own baby. Which brings me to this……

Last night, we were going to the park, I grabbed my Bean Baby sling, and she just HAD to make sure her sling was packed in the backpack too. I just really love it when you can see their minds work, pretend, and creatively play.

Recently a very nice mommy named Dawn ; wrote me about the problems that many new mommies face ;

Here is a excerpt from her letter ;

My daughter had GERD (Gastroesophogal Reflux Disorder aka acid reflux or big time spitter upper). She screamed for pretty much 6 weeks straight. When children suffer from GERD, gravity is their friend because it reduces the reflux (holds the formula down), essentially reducing the pain and screaming. Having a baby in a sling keeps them in an upright position, utilizing gravity, and relieving their symptoms. Baby slings/carriers assist in reducing or relieving pain associated with GERD.

I have heard this very scenario from many moms whom found no relief until they began to utitlize the carriers to carry the baby in the upright position. This will not only provide much needed relief to baby but of course much needed quiet to mommy.
